Breaking News: Carolina Panthers Faces Another Major Setback on Running Back, HC Dave Canales Gets Disheartening Update

Posted on April 10, 2025 by admin

He was officially placed on the injured reserve by the Carolina Panthers, and this most recent injury may be the last one that keeps him with the organization. Will must miss at least four weeks of activity due to his IR designation, even if the Panthers did not formally rule him out for the season. No one should be shocked if the 3-8 Panthers decide to bench him for the remainder of the season and go with second-round choice and the recently extended Chuba Hubbard, even though head coach Dave Canales never provided an official rehabilitation schedule.

In the 2023 offseason, He signed a free agent contract with the Panthers. The former Philadelphia Eagle was expected to take Christian McCaffrey’s place as this offense’s top running back after agreeing to a four-year, $25 million contract. Despite the team’s significant financial investment, Sanders lost the starting position because he was among the league’s least effective runners. Given that his 2025 deal has no guaranteed salary, it is reasonable to believe Carolina will cut him in the offseason.

The Panthers’ decision to sign Sanders did not work out, but he need to find another position. Miles Sanders is unlikely to achieve a full-time starting position, but if he has no long-term injury concerns, he might find a home with the Dallas Cowboys or Kansas City Chiefs.

The Panthers’ Tenure May End Due to Miles Sanders’ Injury

The Kansas City Chiefs’ lack of a suitable backup running back was demonstrated during the 2024 season. Although Isiah Pacheco makes a good starter, Kansas City needs to improve their backup strategy. The team had to rely on their old pal Kareem Hunt in the backfield because the previous seventh-round pick missed a significant amount of the season. The seasoned veteran is clearly past his peak and isn’t getting any younger, even though he had his moments during the season.

If Carson Steele, an undrafted free agent, doesn’t improve during the offseason, the Chiefs should spend money on a veteran who can handle snaps. Steele might make the leap in Year 2. Before getting hurt, Miles Sanders, the Panthers running back, showed some promise in a smaller role. Perhaps Sanders can have a career comeback collecting passes from Patrick Mahomes and running behind a top-tier interior offensive line because head coach Andy Reid and his strategy pull the best out of every running back that enters the building.

Rebuilding the American Team

There is some work ahead for the Dallas Cowboys. The team will probably fire head coach Mike McCarthy after one of the most uninspired “all-in” campaigns in recent memory and appoint a new coach to mold the team in his vision. The rest of the offense could use some improvement, but Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb are here to stay. Although he has performed admirably as the starter running back, Rico Dowdle is more effective in a depth role. Although he may not be ready to start at this point in his career, Miles Sanders might provide the offense a much-needed boost.

Back in Dallas, Dowdle has essentially been the workhorse since Ezekiel Elliott has slowed down. Although the former undrafted free agent shown that he is a capable starter, he is not worthy of this enormous workload. Both guys should perform at their peak when a complementary starter like Miles Sanders is added, particularly if the Cowboys select Quinshon Judkins of Ohio State as their long-term backfield option.

Andy Reid Reports Serious Injuries Following the Chiefs’ Victory Over the Panthers

After Kansas City’s 30-27 victory over the Carolina Panthers, head coach Andy Reid made a big announcement on injuries, stating that no player, with the exception of backup tight end Peyton Hendershhot, sustained a serious injury.

The Chief made an impressive attempt, yet there are still serious issues. No one is impressed by winning by just three points, but any attentive fan would have anticipated this.

Fortunately, the most of the starters left the game without any serious injuries that need to be reported.

Following Week 12, Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid Releases Important Injury News

Third-string tight end Aside from his leg cramping, Peyton Hendeshot did not report any serious injuries, and no player needed much care.

Naturally, things didn’t go as planned, but despite a closer game than most anticipated, Kansas City still improved to 10-1. Harrison Butker, who is undoubtedly the “next man up” in this age of Chiefs football, stepped up and made a game-winning field goal in the closing seconds after Patrick Mahomes calmly drove the offense down the field.

The main tight end possibilities are Travis Kelce and Noah Gray, who caught two touchdown passes for the second consecutive week. However, considering recent injuries at the position, Hendershot continues to be a crucial depth piece.

Despite barely escaping with a victory, the Chiefs fared well and are still in charge of the AFC. Despite the calf cramps, Hendershot should be ready to play against the Raiders in Week 13, giving the offense a significant overall boost.
