Latest Update: Cleveland Browns host a top QB prospect for a visit that Kevin Stefanski has already done his homework on

Posted on April 16, 2025 by admin

Cleveland Browns are clearly set to draft a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft and that comes as a surprise to no one with how their QB room looks

The Browns recently held a workout with Alabama QB Jalen Milroe and have shown interest in Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders.

On Tuesday, the Browns hosted another quarterback who is set to be drafted in the first or second round of the draft later in April.

Cleveland Browns host Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart for a visit

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns hosted Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss for a visit on Tuesday. This came just after Kevin Stefanski recently watched Dart throw at his pro day up close, the Browns have brought him in for a more in-depth visit. The Ole Miss quarterback is set to visit with the Las Vegas Raiders as well.

Dart isn’t a player the Browns would consider at No. 2 overall but one they could draft at No. 33 or late in the first if they were to trade up. Cleveland currently has Kenny Pickett and an injured Deshaun Watson on the roster.

“If you can give Jaxson Dart a solid surrounding cast and creative offensive mind who will incorporate RPOs, quick throws, and isolated receivers who can compete for deep passes, he can reward a franchise as a quality long-term starter. He’s a good athlete with high-end processing, so dropping him into a starting job in 2025 can work. He has tendencies to fade when under pressure and in the season’s biggest games, so Dart has to grow in those defining moments. We could see him going in Round 1 despite his lower grade, but he’s a situation-dependent quarterback who may not thrive anywhere.” — Ian Valentino, A to Z Sports.

Dart put up a solid season in 2024 with the Rebels where he completed 69 percent of his passes for 4,279 passing yards, 29 passing touchdowns, and just six interceptions. Dart added 495 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

The 6-foot-2 quarterback started his career at USC before transferring to play for Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss after his freshman season.

Cleveland continues to do their due diligence on the quarterbacks in the draft and it stands out that they could take one early on.
