The Green Bay Packers have signed veteran kicker Brandon McManus, following the resolution of a civil sexual assault lawsuit. The allegations, made by two flight attendants, stemmed from a 2023 charter flight to London during McManus’s time with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Although the details of the settlement remain confidential, McManus has stated the matter is resolved, and the NFL confirmed he will not face disciplinary action.
Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst acknowledged the situation and expressed confidence in both the NFL’s investigation and the team’s internal review. McManus, a Super Bowl champion, is expected to bring reliability to the Packers’ special teams, which struggled with consistency last season.
In a separate case, former Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion has been sentenced to one year in jail after pleading no contest to aggravated battery for a 2021 domestic violence incident. Guion admitted to physically assaulting a woman at his Green Bay home and has since expressed remorse.
