Marchy was crowned last year’s Fan MVP… will he secure the title for the second year in a row? More details below

Posted on June 3, 2025 by admin

Brad Marchand has always been a fan favorite — relentless on the ice, passionate in the locker room, and fiercely loyal to his team and city.

Last season, Marchand captured the title of Fan MVP, an honor awarded by Bruins Nation for the player who best represents heart, hustle, and heroics over the course of the year. Now, as voting opens for the 2024-25 season, the big question looms: Can Marchy go back-to-back?

It won’t be easy. The Bruins had a rollercoaster season, missing the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade. But despite the team’s struggles, Marchand remained a consistent bright spot. He finished with 29 goals, 38 assists, and continued to frustrate opponents with his signature blend of skill and grit.

“Every game, every shift, Brad gives everything he’s got,” said interim head coach Chris Kelly. “That’s what makes him special — and why the fans love him.”

The competition for this year’s MVP is fierce. David Pastrnak put up monster numbers again. Jeremy Swayman stood tall through tough stretches in net. And rookie sensation Matt Poitras turned heads in his first full season.

But it’s Marchand’s leadership — particularly in what may have been his final season wearing the ‘C’ — that keeps him at the center of the conversation.

Voting remains open through June 15. Bruins fans can cast their ballots online through the team’s official website.

Can Marchy make it two in a row? Bruins Nation will decide. But regardless of the outcome, the veteran winger’s legacy is already etched in black and gold
