96-Hour Visa: This type of visa allows you to stay in UAE for a maximum of 96 hours. It is a traveller-type visa that expires after 4 or 3 days of staying in Dubai. 

14-Day Visa (short-term visit, single entry): the 14 days visa is non-extendable. It is only valid from the period you issued it.

30-Day Visa (short-term visit, single entry): this type of visa is a non-extendable Visa, and it is only valid from the day it was issued.

90-Day visa: this type of visa is valid for 90 days, and it is best recommended for those going to Dubai for a family visit, holiday, health checkup, or business.

Dubai Visa Requirements

Before applying for a Dubai visa, you need to present some documents before you are given a visa. The document needed to get a Dubai visa in Nigeria include.

1. Applicants are required to present a Nigeria national passport that is valid for at least six months.

2. Photocopy of valid id card and passport (including valid or expired visa)

3. A visa application form filled in a block letter and signed by the applicant.

4. A copy of a confirmed itinerary: the itinerary means the copy of your return ticket. That is, if you don’t have a return ticket, your opportunity of recieving will be deprived.

5. Proof of health insurance

6. A current bank statement to know your financial status. 

7. Proof of residency reservation (hotel).

8. For tourists: if you are going to Dubai for a picnic, you must present a letter from your employer granting you the opportunity to leave the country. If you are self-employed, you will be required to present your tax and document and business registration number. 

9. For visitors visiting a relative or friend: if you are visiting your relatives or friend in Dubai, you are required to provide an invitation letter from the host (inviter) and the subordinate documents: inviter contact and address, signature, date, and copy of UAE passport information page

10. For the short term 30-day visitor visa: provision of evidence of applicant profession.

The longer the day you wish to stay in Dubai, the higher the amount of money you will pay during the process. For instance, if you are thinking of collecting a visa of 90 days, the cost will be higher than 19 hours or 14 days.

It takes 7 hours 5 minutes to travel from Lagos airport to Dubai. Sometimes, the type of airplane you board will determine the time you will spend before getting to Dubai. For instance, if you take Emirates airline, you will get to Dubai in 7 hours 5 minutes while flyhy cargo airline is 9 hours 15 minutes.

An applicant with a Dubai visit visa can apply to extend their visa card for 30 days twice, and if your application is approved, your stay will be extended. If you are applying for a second renewal, you will be required to pay 600dirham.

A Visa overstayer who doesn’t renew his visa will have to pay AED100 fine for each day of their overstay. The fine will be applicable after ten days of visa expiry.
