The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, also known as MIT, is a famous private university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. MIT was founded in 1861 and is based on the European polytechnic curriculum.
While it was designed primarily to give science and engineering education (which account for 29 percent and 63 percent of undergraduate students, respectively), it also provides other courses. Students can major in architecture and planning, management, and humanities, arts, and social science at this university.

Application Fee for MIT
It costs $75 to apply to MIT. Fee exemptions may be granted to students who are unable to pay the full amount.
Graduate applicants pay the same minimal fee ($75) as university applicants. Despite this, certain departments, such as the Sloan School of Management, charge a higher fee of $250.
International Student Admissions Requirements

Rankings at MIT

Foreign students, like local students, are eligible for financial aid — at a 100% need rate.
There are two phases to applying for this MIT international student scholarship. One is through the CSS profile, where you provide the College Board with all of the information necessary to evaluate your eligibility.
Your parent’s tax returns or wage statements, bank statements, investment records, and untaxed income records are the documents you’ll need to upload for this.
Another way to apply is to use the IDOC platform to upload your parents’ tax returns or income documentation. If the documents are not in English, they should be translated.
2. Grants and Scholarships from Private Organizations

Private scholarships and grants are also available to international students. This will help you save money on your student contribution, which is calculated before the school figures out how much your MIT scholarship is worth.

3. International Fellowships of the American Association of University Women (AAUW)

This scholarship is given to international female students who intend to pursue full-time graduate study at MIT. The completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is the minimum prerequisite for this fellowship.
